Project Information:
» The objectives of the assessment are:
• to assess the labor and working conditions at Indorama Agro, located in Nishon and Kasbi in Qashqadaryo region, and in Oqoltyn and Sardoba districts in Sirdaryo region against local labor laws and IFC PS2 / EBRD PR2 requirements.
• to prepare a gap analysis identifying potential non-compliances with national labor laws and IFC PS2/EBRD PR2.
• reassess the points identified in the Labor Audit Report, March 2023 Corrective Action Plan (CAP) from September 2022 and further suggest if any improvements needed to comply with Lender requirements.
• assess management capacity, ability, and willingness to make improvements to identified findings.»

Project Activities:

«o Key Informant Interviews with Indorama Agro Managers, heads of TU, and Local Labor Inspection representatives;
o Visual Inspection of selected sites and work locations. Interviews with random workers and relevant representatives on-site;
o Focus Group Discussions with: a) Nano Unit Contractors, b) Contract farmers, c) Group Leaders, d) Seasonal workers (including cotton pickers);»
