«The main objectives of the assignment are to support the government of Uzbekistan to develop a
NFCS concept and Action Plan for further implementation. The documents should be accepted and
endorsed at least by Uzhydromet or the relevant government body for implementation once
supplementary NFCS-earmarked funds become available as a follow-up to the project.
Development and promotion of a sustainable business model for disaster-related information and
services in Uzbekistan that will provide additional operational funding to Uzhydromet and MES,
which currently to a large extent rely on government budgets.»
