Project Information:

Solar Technology Advisors SL (STA) had been engaged by Total Eren to carry out a full feasibility study for a 100 MW photovoltaic power plant to be built in Tutly in Samarkand Province, Uzbekistan; STA engaged NBT to carry out the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment study for the construction of Plant, as well as the corresponding administrative procedures to obtain the environmental authorization from the relevant Uzbek Authorities to build the Plant.

Project Activities:

«Conducted baseline study of natural and climatic conditions of the project area with identification of sensitive receptors such as protected areas, important natural areas, and cultural heritages;
Bird surveys were conducted in the project area to identify the type of birds and required mitigation measures;
Additional monitoring of birds during migration seasons and nesting periods were conducted;
Revised of regulatory and Institutional Framework;
Assessed project’s environmental and social impacts at various stages: pre-construction, construction, operation, demolishing and prioritized them;
Development of Environmental Mitigation and Monitoring plans (EMMPs);
Proposed institutional set up for implementation of EMMPs during all stages of the project;
Proposed Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM);
Disclosed findings of environmental assessment, developed EMMPs and GRM for stakeholders in the project area through conduction of public consultation (PC); and Integration of findings from PC in the final version of Environmental Impact Assessment report and disclosed on Client website and associated Management Plans;»
